BY PRAYER
By Prayer is SIM’s motto because it is truly by prayer that we praise God, seek His direction, request resources, and call upon the Holy Spirit to empower our ministries. By Prayer is a call to action emphasizing important work to be done. We must intercede for those living outside of a saving relationship with Jesus, many of whom have never heard His name. Finally, By Prayer is a celebration! We glorify the Lord not only for all that He has accomplished, but for who He is and all that He is yet to do.
By Prayer states our Dependence on God and is one of SIM’s Core Values: The World says, “We test our limits, we face our fears, we rise to the challenge and become something greater than ourselves…” But God, the LORD Almighty, says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” The LORD Jesus Christ also says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” Prayers are an integral part of SIM Canada’s efforts to glorify God and share the Good News with those living without Christ.
